• Do I have to pay import tax if I am bringing in conference programmes, bags, souvenirs?

• Do I need to pay taxes (GST-Goods & Services Tax) when bringing in goods for my event?

  GST will need to be paid if items are commercial goods. Custom officers on duty will ascertain upon entry if they are considered ‘commercial goods’. For more information on GST, visit the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore website.

• Do I need to buy insurance for my event?

  For the purpose of the Event, the event organiser shall at its own cost and expense maintain and/or cause to be maintained insurance policy(ies) with an insurance company duly licensed in Singapore or an international insurance company acceptable to the venue owner (aka “Licensor”)

• SG Clean

  This is Singapore’s national mark of excellence for environmental public hygiene to rally businesses and the public to uphold good sanitisation standards and hygiene practices.
  More than 20,000 tourism and lifestyle premises have been certified and issued with the SG Clean Quality Mark, including MICE facilities such as: • Marina Bay Sand & Convention Centre • Singapore Expo • Resorts World Convention Centre • Suntec Singapore Convention Centre

• What is SG Clean

  The SG Clean quality mark is a national mark of excellence for businesses, including tourism establishments, that adhere to high standards of environmental public hygiene on their premises.

  To achieve the SG Clean certification:

  - Establishments ensure that the premises are cleaned and sanitised frequently
  - Establishments ensure their staff are healthy
  - Establishments are certified by appointed assessors
  
  More than 20,000 SG Clean Quality Mark certificates have been issued to tourism establishments, including MICE facilities such as:
  - Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre 
  - Singapore Expo
  - Resort World Convention Centre 
  - Suntec Singapore Convention Centre
  
  The target is to cover more than 37,000 businesses within the tourism and lifestyle sectors to sign up for the SG Clean Quality Mark.
