How COVID-19, a pandemic impacted my love for Traveling

Today I would like to share my feelings regarding a sudden and unexpected halt that came into our lives and the way it impacted my life in terms of Traveling.

Once I came upon a quote from Sir Richard Burton, “The greatest moment in one's life is when he sets out for an unknown land.” Basically, this is how you get a chance to introspect who you are, your ways of dealing with situations also about the diversity of nature, etc., which will ultimately result in increasing your self-esteem and boosting your self-confidence. That's what pushes me to travel more and more.

Unfortunately, one day I came to know about the disease called COVID-19. I hope you all must be aware of the disease still to describe it in brief. Corona virus disease is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered virus. Its most common symptoms are fever, dry cough, tiredness. And the government declared it a pandemic. Due to which the life came to pause state.

Tour and Travel industry and related activities were the first and most impacted areas of all. Now, no travel was happening as a result. So, what we are left on the name of travel is just the memories and experiences for now.

How am I dealing with this?

Recall past experiences through photographs.

Whenever I feel low due to the current situation, the first thing that comes to my mind is the flashbacks of the memories and go through the mesmerizing moments that I have captured. Believe me, this really makes me happy most of the time.

Study about new destinations/places.

It's always a good idea to increase your knowledge base, and we mostly struggle to find time to do so. But fortunately, or unfortunately we got that time. So why not to utilize this time effectively and explore new places and its information at TBO Academy. I enjoy doing this as it matches the area of interest, i.e., traveling.

Connect virtually with friends who share common memories.
One other option to overcome the pain of being caged is to share that pain as you know most of the others are also going through the same pain. For that, I usually call up my fellow riders and discuss the experiences, learning, improvements, etc.

Make travel plans for new normal times.
This is the best pass-time activity. I keep on making itineraries for the time when we'll be able to travel freely through barriers that could be there, such as permits, movement across state borders, etc. But nobody can stop you at least for planning it. I really miss my trips to DubaiSingaporeVietnam and so many more.

I would now like to conclude by saying; no situation lasts forever. The day will come when you will again be free to do whatever you want and go to places without any restriction of time, etc. All I want to say is to prepare yourself for that day. Utilize your time effectively.
