YIT has secured a €30 million contract to modernise Finland’s Oulu Passenger Rail Yard, with construction starting next month and completion expected by the end of 2029. The project will improve accessibility and safety through upgraded and new platforms, pedestrian underpasses, electrification, lighting, drainage and safety systems. A new bicycle facility and maintenance roads are also planned, while rail services will continue operating throughout the multi-phase redevelopment.
