From 8 September 2025, Renfe will operate all high-speed services on the Madrid–Barcelona corridor exclusively with its premium AVE trains. The move replaces Avlo units while keeping the same schedules and frequencies, ensuring continuity for passengers. Travelers can now enjoy upgraded amenities, including wider seats, a cafeteria, dining services, and quiet carriages. Premium travelers will also benefit from lounge access, enhancing comfort and convenience on Spain’s busiest rail route.
