Nandini Chakravorty, Principal Secretary – Home and Tourism, West Bengal, announced that the state will see INR 5,770 crore investment with 40 new luxury hotels in the next two years. The government is also focusing on MICE tourism, with plans for a convention facility in Siliguri. The state has registered a 24% growth in tourist footfalls in 2024. West Bengal signed MoUs during the Bengal MICE Conclave, expecting 50 international conferences soon.
