Indian Railways has approved a Vande Bharat sleeper train connecting Bengaluru and Mumbai, aiming to reduce travel time on the 1,139-km route. The service is expected to cut journey duration to around 16–17 hours, compared to the current 22-hour travel time. The train will pass through key cities including Pune, Solapur and Guntakal, offering improved speed, comfort and overnight travel options for passengers.
