Uttarakhand is set for a tourism revolution with two ropeway projects worth ₹6,800 crore, connecting Sonprayag–Kedarnath and Govindghat–Hemkund Sahib. Backed by the National Highways Logistics Management Limited, the projects will cut travel time, improve safety, and provide year-round access to revered sites. By easing pilgrim journeys and attracting more visitors, the ropeways promise to boost local economies, strengthen connectivity, and position Uttarakhand as a model for modern pilgrimage travel.
