Uttar Pradesh’s ₹8.08 lakh crore Budget for 2025-26 earmarks ₹400 crore to boost religious tourism in Ayodhya, Mathura, Naimisharanya, and Chitrakoot. This follows a record-breaking 2024, with 65 crore visitors, including 14 lakh foreign tourists. Funds will enhance temple development, land acquisition, and public infrastructure. Presenting the Budget, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna emphasized the state’s tourism growth and future plans to further strengthen its religious and cultural heritage.
