The UAE has introduced major visa changes for 2026, expanding visa-on-arrival eligibility to nationals of Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Kenya and South Africa. Dubai now offers single-entry tourist visas approved within 48 hours and valid for 30–60 days. Property investors can obtain two-year residency without a minimum value for sole ownership, while joint owners need Dh400,000 shares. A temporary overstay fine exemption ended July 9, while a smart medical visa is being developed.
