Odisha has approved a new tri-weekly express train connecting Puri and Koraput via Sambalpur to improve regional mobility and tourism across the state. The direct rail service is expected to ease long-distance travel, support pilgrims visiting the Jagannath Temple and strengthen connectivity between coastal, western and southern Odisha. Officials believe the route will also boost local trade, tourism and economic activity across key districts.
