Thailand is leading a tri-national Andaman Gateway Alliance with Malaysia and Indonesia to establish a unified global hub for luxury marine tourism and the Blue Economy. Announced during the Thailand Boat Festival 2026 at Phuket Boat Lagoon, the initiative aims to harmonise maritime regulations, upgrade cross-border infrastructure, and position the Andaman Sea as a seamless destination for yachting and cruise travel.
