Thailand has strengthened regional air connectivity by launching new direct flights from Sendai, Hokkaido, and Osaka to Bangkok, operated by Thai AirAsia X and Thai Lion Air. These routes meet rising Japanese travel demand and support Thailand’s tourism recovery, especially as Japan remains one of its most valuable markets. With nearly one million Japanese visitors already in 2025, the new connections are expected to boost arrivals, enhance accessibility, and promote cultural, leisure, and adventure tourism across Thailand.
