TCS and Rolls-Royce have successfully operated a modern aero gas turbine on 100% hydrogen through a simulated flight cycle covering take-off, cruise and landing. The test validated hydrogen combustion, fuel systems and engine controls, marking progress toward hydrogen-powered aviation. The project, involving easyJet and other partners, provides crucial data to develop future propulsion technologies that could reduce aviation’s in-flight CO₂ emissions.
