A previously unknown rectangular chamber has been discovered during work near Hyderabad’s Golconda Fort, prompting an Archaeological Survey of India inspection. Preliminary measurements put the structure at about 1.2 metres by 1.8 metres and 2.2 metres deep. Officials have clarified that it appears to be a chamber rather than a tunnel, adding a new mystery to one of India’s most famous historic forts.
