Uttar Pradesh has allocated ₹1 crore for a proposed leopard safari in Pilibhit. The project could eventually cover around 1,700 hectares and include a roughly 30-kilometre safari route. Leopards would remain in natural forest habitat while visitors travel in secure vehicles. The initiative aims to create safer leopard habitat, reduce human-wildlife conflict and add a new wildlife tourism attraction.
