New Zealand will move selected visitor and transit visa applications fully online from October 1, 2026. Applicants covered by the change will use Immigration New Zealand’s enhanced Immigration Online system instead of paper applications. The digital process aims to simplify applications and tracking while improving processing efficiency. Most visitor applications and all transit applications can already be submitted online through the enhanced system, supporting a smoother visa experience.
