The Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) will open on September 30, 2025, becoming Mumbai’s second international airport. Designed with lotus-inspired architecture, eco-friendly systems, and modern facilities, it will ease congestion at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. Strategically located in Ulwe, NMIA will be connected by highways, metro lines, and the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link. Initially handling 20 million passengers, the airport will expand in phases, shaping Mumbai into a global aviation hub.
