Marriott International will introduce its new upscale brand, Series by Marriott, in Japan with a converted 14-storey hotel in Osaka’s Shinsaibashi district. The property, to be named Sugata Hotel Osaka Shinsaibashi, is scheduled to open in April 2026 under an agreement with Blackstone, strengthening Marriott’s Asia-Pacific expansion strategy.
