Los Angeles has approved a new underground heavy rail line connecting the San Fernando Valley with the Westside through the Sepulveda Pass. The project aims to cut travel time from up to 80 minutes by road to around 10 minutes by rail. Officials say the line will improve daily commuting, connectivity, and transport reliability.
