The central and Delhi governments have launched an eco-friendly ferry service on a 6km Yamuna stretch between Wazirabad Barrage and Jagatpur. Featuring electric-solar hybrid boats, the project aims to boost tourism and restore the river’s image. Responsibilities are shared among IWAI, DDA, DJB, DTC, and Delhi Tourism, with completion expected in six months. The initiative includes HDPE jetties, safety measures, and charging stations.
