Lakshadweep is preparing to launch India’s first commercial seaplane connectivity after a successful trial landing at Agatti Waterdrome. The upcoming service will connect Cochin with islands including Kavaratti, Kalpeni, Kadmat and Agatti, significantly reducing travel time for tourists and locals. Officials believe the initiative will boost island tourism, strengthen regional connectivity and create faster access to remote destinations across the archipelago.
