KLM has retired its first Boeing 737-800 (PH-BXK), marking a major step in its fleet renewal. After its final flight on December 5, the aircraft was moved to Twente Airport for dismantling and recycling. Its engines and APU will be reused, while remaining parts go to AELS. This move supports KLM’s €7 billion modernization plan, replacing older jets with quieter, cleaner Airbus A321neos, A350s, and new E195-E2 models across its network.
