The U.S. Department of Transportation has officially cleared JetBlue and United Airlines’ joint loyalty program, Blue Sky. Launching this fall, members of MileagePlus and TrueBlue can earn and redeem rewards across both carriers. Benefits like priority boarding and flexible seating will be shared. The deal also grants United access to JetBlue’s JFK slots and leverages JetBlue’s Paisly platform to enhance United’s ancillary services like hotel and car bookings.
