Italy is preparing for one of its busiest summer seasons as the Ferragosto holiday is expected to attract around 17.4 million travelers. Beaches, historic cities, lakes, food destinations and charming villages are projected to generate more than €9 billion in tourism spending. The strong outlook highlights Italy’s continued popularity as one of Europe’s leading summer destinations.
