ITA Airways will officially join Star Alliance in the first half of 2026, following its withdrawal from SkyTeam by April 30, 2025. Lufthansa Group, which recently acquired a 41% stake in the airline, is integrating ITA into its network. From March 30, ITA passengers will gain access to Lufthansa lounges, codeshares, and coordinated flight schedules, enhancing connectivity across Europe and beyond.
