Swaraj Dweep, formerly known as Havelock Island in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, has entered the world’s top 10 peaceful islands in the 2026 Unspoilt Index. The Indian destination ranked ninth, becoming the only Indian island on the list. Its tropical forests, calm beaches, low-density development and natural surroundings were highlighted for their appeal. The recognition could further raise international interest in India’s island tourism.
