KSRTC is launching its first air-conditioned Swift Superfast bus in Chalakudy next week, featuring an innovative hybrid AC system by Heavy Cool. Powered by four batteries linked to the alternator, the AC operates independently of the engine, reducing energy consumption. The bus interior is fully insulated with plywood and mats for better cooling efficiency, while ceiling vents ensure even airflow for all passengers. If successful, KSRTC plans to expand AC buses across its fleet, enhancing comfort and efficiency in public transport.
