Indian Railways is rolling out a major digital overhaul of its Passenger Reservation System to improve ticket booking speed, reliability and security. The upgraded platform will increase booking capacity from 25,000 to 125,000 tickets per minute, helping reduce delays during peak hours and festival seasons. The initiative also introduces stronger verification measures to prevent automated bookings and ensure fair access for passengers.
