India is modernizing its rail network by expanding the Dedicated Freight Corridor and developing a new Regional Rapid Transit System in Patna, Bihar. The DFC network currently handles over 14% of national rail freight, improving logistics efficiency and reliability. Simultaneously, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation is preparing a detailed project report to establish high-speed rail links in Patna, aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and alleviating urban traffic congestion.
