India is developing two mega-airports—Noida International Airport and Navi Mumbai International Airport—to ease congestion at Delhi and Mumbai airports. The new facilities will operate as a twin-hub system, handling domestic and cargo traffic while existing airports focus more on long-haul international flights. Noida will emphasise cargo and net-zero operations, while Navi Mumbai will feature digital-first infrastructure. Together, the airports aim to expand capacity and drive regional economic growth.
