India is preparing to launch its first hydrogen-powered train on the Jind-Sonipat route in Haryana, marking a major step toward zero-emission rail transport. Powered by hydrogen fuel cells that produce only water vapour, the train is expected to reduce pollution, support sustainable mobility and modernise non-electrified railway routes across the Indian Railways network.
