India has launched a $10.5 billion tender for 60 medium transport aircraft to replace its aging Soviet-era Antonov An-32 fleet. The Multi-Role Transport Aircraft programme seeks aircraft capable of operating in challenging terrains, with Embraer’s C-390 Millennium and Lockheed Martin’s C-130J Super Hercules among the key contenders.
