Indian Railways’ first hydrogen-powered train has successfully completed over 1,200 kilometres of operations on the Jind–Sonipat route, replacing more than 3,000 litres of diesel while emitting only water vapour. Following the successful trials, the Ministry of Railways plans to begin operations on the Delhi route, marking another step towards cleaner, zero-emission rail transport in India.
