India is set to launch its first hydrogen-powered train in Haryana, marking a major step toward clean and sustainable rail transport. The train will operate on the Jind–Sonipat route and run on hydrogen fuel, reducing dependence on fossil fuels. The project includes a dedicated hydrogen fueling facility to support operations. This initiative reflects Indian Railways’ efforts to adopt alternative energy solutions and lower emissions across its transport network.
