In 2026, Germany will continue its visa-free entry policy for citizens of 62 countries outside the European Union and Schengen Area. These individuals can visit Germany for up to 90 days within any 180-day period for purposes such as tourism, business meetings, or visiting family. Paid employment is strictly prohibited under this exemption. Citizens from 102 other countries will still need to obtain a visa for entry into Germany. Applicants may be eligible to apply for residence permits upon arrival, subject to immigration regulations.
