Europe is developing a 49,400-kilometre high-speed rail network connecting cities like Athens, Madrid, and Milan by 2045. Backed by the European Commission and the Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies (CER), the project aims to promote faster, greener travel across the continent. With trains reaching up to 350 km/h, the network will enhance tourism, reduce air travel reliance, and accelerate Europe’s shift toward sustainable, interconnected mobility.
