Estonia has introduced 16 new Škoda-built electric trains, marking a major upgrade to its rail network. Launching December 15, these EUR 147 million units will serve Tallinn and newly electrified routes. With dual power systems, wide-gauge design, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, and flexible interiors, they boost comfort and capacity. As train travel doubles to eight million annually, this fleet strengthens long-distance and suburban travel while supporting Estonia’s push for cleaner, sustainable transportation.
