Egypt will launch a pilot digital visa-on-arrival system at Cairo International Airport in mid-June. The new tech-enabled process includes self-service kiosks and a mobile app for emergency visas, using QR codes and digital payments to ease congestion. Part of Egypt’s Sustainable Tourism Strategy 2030, the initiative aims to modernize arrivals and support the country’s goal of welcoming 30 million tourists annually by 2028.
