Dubai International Airport has begun trialing advanced security scanners that let passengers keep liquids over 100ml and laptops in their bags during checks. Developed by UK firm Smiths Detection, the system is already in place across Terminals 1–3. With DXB expecting over 89 million passengers in 2025, the upgrade aims to cut wait times, enhance convenience, and reinforce Dubai’s standing as a global aviation hub with world-class efficiency.
