Denmark has received its first IC5 electric trainset, marking a major milestone in DSB’s plan to electrify its fleet by 2030. Built by Alstom, the IC5 trains will undergo testing before entering service in 2027, offering faster speeds, regenerative braking, and modern passenger amenities. This initiative supports Denmark’s climate goals, reduces reliance on diesel, and enhances tourism by providing greener, more efficient travel across the country and beyond.
