India’s proposed Delhi–Varanasi bullet train corridor could reduce Delhi to Lucknow travel time to just two hours, according to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The high-speed rail project is expected to improve connectivity across major North Indian cities while making long-distance travel much faster and easier. Officials believe the upcoming bullet train network could eventually become a strong alternative to short domestic flights.
