Travel between Delhi and Rishikesh could soon become significantly faster as the proposed Namo Bharat rapid rail extension receives approval. The 150-km corridor is expected to connect Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Roorkee, Haridwar, and Rishikesh, potentially reducing travel time to around three hours. The project is set to boost tourism, pilgrimage travel, and regional connectivity across Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
