Delhi plans to launch an eco-friendly cruise service on the Yamuna between Sonia Vihar and Jagatpur. The six-km stretch will feature two solar-electric hybrid boats with a 20-30 passenger capacity, bio-toilets, and safety measures. The Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation (DTTDC) has invited bids for operators, with support from IWAI, DDA, DJB, and the flood control department. The project aims to boost river-cruise tourism while ensuring sustainability, with at least four trips daily on air-conditioned boats.
