In 2024, it recorded 58.8 million passengers and 596,000 aircraft movements, ranking 6th globally by takeoffs and landings. To support this surge, CLT is investing $4 billion in the “Destination CLT” expansion, adding security checkpoints, new screening lanes, and improving traffic flow with a relocated rideshare area.
