Airlines are free to introduce direct Chandigarh-Nanded flights, the Centre has informed the Lok Sabha, potentially improving connectivity for Sikh pilgrims travelling to Takht Sri Hazur Sahib. Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu said route selection is deregulated and depends on commercial viability. However, no specific proposal for the route is currently pending with the ministry, meaning passengers continue relying on connecting flights between the two cities.
