India has approved the Chambal Expressway, officially known as the Atal Progress-Way, marking a major leap in road infrastructure across northern and central India. The 420-kilometre, six-lane access-controlled expressway will connect the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway with the Bundelkhand Expressway, significantly reducing travel times across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh. Designed with safety, speed, and sustainability in mind, the project is expected to boost tourism access, logistics efficiency, interstate trade, and economic development in several under-connected regions.
