Cambodia’s tourism sector is embracing sustainability with a new partnership between Oxfam Cambodia and the Ministry of Tourism. The initiative will focus on developing eco-friendly tourism around the Cardamom Mountains and Tonle Sap Landscape, protecting natural resources while uplifting local communities. Through improved infrastructure, training, and conservation-based tourism, the project will help generate new income opportunities for residents. By 2027, Cambodia aims to become a regional leader in responsible and nature-based travel.
