The Union Cabinet has approved the Jaipur Metro Phase-2 project, a ₹13,037 crore expansion aimed at strengthening urban mobility in the city. The 41-km North–South corridor will connect Prahladpura to Todi Mod with 36 stations, linking key areas such as Jaipur Airport, Sitapura, VKIA and major city hubs. The project is expected to reduce traffic congestion, improve connectivity and significantly increase ridership, with completion targeted by 2031.
