Brazil welcomed 576,276 international visitors in August 2026, recording its strongest August performance since records began in 2009. Foreign tourist spending reached R$4.8 billion, marking a 17% year-on-year increase. Between January and August, the country received over 6.45 million international tourists, generating R$38.7 billion in visitor spending. The figures highlight Brazil’s growing appeal among international travellers and its expanding tourism and hospitality sector.
