Serving over 30,000 passengers daily, the station has already received upgraded platforms, sheds, lighting, train information systems and GPS clocks. Improvements to the station building, entrance and parking areas are also underway or completed. A proposed Dankuni–Surat freight corridor could further strengthen the region’s railway connectivity and logistics infrastructure.
